Long Range Development Plan (LRDP)
The 2021 Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) is the guiding land use plan for the physical development of the campus. The 2021 LRDP designates general types of development and land uses to facilitate expanded and new program initiatives. The 2021 LRDP is not intended to be a detailed implementation plan nor does it constitute a commitment to a specific level of future enrollment, specific physical development projects, construction schedules, or capital funding requests.
UC Riverside's current Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) was approved in 2005. The 2005 LRDP projected enrollment growth of 25,000 students. In the academic year 2019-20, UC Riverside's enrollment was approximately 24,850. UC Riverside anticipates continued need to allow student enrollment growth, especially for California residents (who are nearly 96 percent of its undergraduate student population). As context, the University of California Multiyear Framework anticipates that the campuses will produce 200,000 more degrees by 2030, and the Riverside campus will be instrumental in achieving this goal.
